Shelter and Animal Healthcare Closings
Massachusetts State budget (in the infinite wisdom of the Patrick Administration - we do try to stay non-political here,) is closing all but two animal shelters throughout the State. It is a disgrace. Though on a positive front - through Private funding - Angell Memorial has received only the 2nd throughout the country, an MRI machine specifically for animals at the hospital. So donations are crucial. You can directly donate through our site or contact the MSPCA directly - all donation are tax deductible. If you do have monetary ability to donate in this economy, many groups, including Animal Friends Humane Society - TV's "Dog Town" accepts tax deductible donations of a litany of items such as old cars, etc. Further the MSPCA in Boston (JP) will issue a tax dedection credit for many items they are in need of such as GPS devices, 800mhz radios, bullet-proof vests, (Yes the jobs of an MSPCA officer are dangerous,) and other such items viewable on their website which you can click on to the left on this screen. Thank You.
